Sungei Buloh Wetland reserve new extension

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserves New Extension was officially open on Dec 6 Sat on a raining morning. Images below is a summation of the weekends visit.  New bus stop just a stone throw away from the usual 925 was right outside this entrance.  This extension is easily accessible and near  to the Kranji Reservoir. Last bus 925 on Sunday 7:20.  An ideal place to catch a sunset.

East West Crossing Upper Pierce to ChestNut Avenue ( Wood Cutter's Trail )

Woodcutter's Trail : My attempt from the East ( Upper Pierce Reservoir )

GPS Visualizer plot from my handheld Garmin 60CSx

We dropped off 980 bus and prepared to walk the old upper Thomson Rd.  Luckily  the walk was shorten by thumbing down a passing van.

Once in the parking area there first thing was to locate the entrance to this trail using the GPS location given in below chart. The J correspond to a door in the metal railing.  Go and find out.

Note the 'J' entrance from the East side.

My Track plot from my SS mobile.

The entrance is matched by the given GPS Long/Lat. My faithful Garmin 60CSx never fail me in detecting satellite signals under the foliage

Glaring sign notices... Closed the gate, once inside...
The elevation profile of the trail staring from the East ( right hand end) to West.  The first stream correspond to 'I'  shown above. Image of the stream see below.

Are you going to get your boot wet picking this or try the other one below?
